Young People Willing Workers

This ministry is comprised of the Sunshine Band (ages 12 and under) and the Puritans (ages 13 through 17). They are actively involved in our church programs and are offered the opportunity to express and share their talents. The Mount Zion Family encourages the youth to apply themselves academically. Our young people participate in a variety of extracurricular activities like band, basketball, drama, football, soccer, track, and wrestling. We also support them by attending school functions as well as plan church activities to engage them.

Most of all, we encourage our youth to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while they are young (Proverbs 22:6; Ecclesiastes 12:1). YPWW is scheduled on Tuesday nights while the parents are in Bible Study. This is a time set apart to discuss issues our youth face today, and finding support through Jesus Christ. During the summer months, the children also participate in Vacation Bible School. We welcome the youth in our community and the surrounding areas to come and join us.
