To Military Families

Pastor Taylor is aware of the challenges of maintaining a family while serving in the United States Military. He and the late Lady Taylor were married for more than 13 years while serving as a soldier in the United States Army. Continue reading and see what there fist 20 months of marriage was like.

On April 12, 1990 Pastor and Lady Taylor were joined together in Holy Matrimony. In June of 1990 Pastor Taylor was re-assigned to Ft Bragg N.C. where Lady Taylor Joined him in July of 1990 to be informed that he would be deploying to Kuwait in August. After eight months of deployment the unit was redeployed and they were united together on April 11, 1991 just in time to celebrate their one year anniversary.

After spending about 45 days at Ft Bragg the couple received another set of orders re-assigning them to U.S. Army Europe (Germany). Pastor Taylor arrived in Europe in October 1991 and Lady Taylor in December 1991. We were able to spend Christmas together. During this time in Europe we experienced separation due to humanitarian relief, training deployments, and military schools. Twenty years later we were still happily married, raising four children and still in love!

We certainly understand that the military is different today than it was before our retirement. However, the challenges of separation, communication, trust and respect just to name a few are still vital for a healthy marriage today. Our objective is to encourage couples to nurture and re-affirm their relationship. Build for the future and keep Christ as the enter piece of your marriage.

Due to the increased request for marital counseling Lady Taylor and I started what we call the couples gatherings at Mt. Zion. Please read more concerning this area under the Ministries tab.
